Community guidelines

Be true. Be useful. Be kind.

SORDA AI works because people share honestly and treat each other with respect. These guidelines apply to reports, comments, community chats, posts and announcements.

✅ Do

  • Share what you have seen yourself, at the place where it happened.
  • Be specific. "Water pipe leaking on Morogoro Road near the bus stop since 7:00" beats "problem here".
  • Add a clear photo when it is safe to take one.
  • Pick the right category and, when it needs fixing, send it to the right sector.
  • Confirm reports you have also seen, and add evidence if you have it.
  • Update your report when the situation changes or is resolved.
  • Respect privacy — avoid showing faces, number plates or homes when they are not needed.

🚫 Don't

  • Post false, exaggerated or made-up reports, or repost rumours as fact.
  • Share hate, harassment, threats or content that targets people for who they are.
  • Share private information about others (phone numbers, addresses, ID documents).
  • Post violent, sexual or shocking images.
  • Spam, advertise without permission or post the same report many times.
  • Impersonate other people, organisations or authorities.
  • Encourage illegal or dangerous behaviour.

Safety first

Never put yourself at risk to take a photo or make a report. In an emergency, contact emergency services before using SORDA.

What happens if rules are broken

Anyone can report content that breaks these guidelines. Moderators review it and may hide it, mark a report as false, remove tokens earned from it, or suspend accounts for serious or repeated abuse.

Communities

Community admins can add their own rules for their group, as long as they respect these guidelines. Admins are responsible for keeping their community on topic and welcoming.
